Ms Dynamite's 100mph Crash
R&B singer Ms Dynamite is recovering in hospital after a high-speed crash in Sky One's reality show The Race.
The 25-year-old's car went spinning out of control after a collision at speeds of about 100mph.
The singer was conscious as she was airlifted to Northampton General Hospital.
A Sky One spokesman confirmed that she hadn't been seriously injured:
"All the signs are good. She's just very shaken. It was quite a violent collision, but the paramedics were straight on the scene."
Ms Dynamite
The crash happened after Ms Dynamite's car was clipped by fellow contestant Brian Johnson, lead singer of AC/DC, during filming of the show's finale.
The collision sent Ms Dynamite's car spinning for 50 metres before it eventually stopped.
Ms Dynamite - real name Niomi McLean-Daley - is the second celebrity to crash on The Race.
Last week, Ingrid Tarrant (estranged wife of Chris Tarrant), flipped a £150,000 three-tonne truck upside down while trying to jump cars.
She suffered only minor injuries

Si's Xtreme Dilemma
It's not often that Simon Cowell is lost for words.
But this weekend's X-Factor elimination put the normally acid-tongued judge in a tricky spot.
Simon had to choose between two of his own acts on Saturday... a situation he clearly found embarrassing.
Sharon Osbourne voted to eliminate Scottish teenager Nikitta Angus, while Louis Walsh gave the thumbs down to Scouser Raymond Quinn.
So it was left to Simon to cast the deciding vote. He could only shake his head in a rare moment of speechlessness before muttering: "I don't get it."
Nikitta Angus
He left the two acts in suspense, before turning to them and saying: "Right, I've just changed my mind. The act I am sending home tonight is Nikitta."
Niki, 17, had performed Donna Summer's Last Dance to stay in the show. Ray sang Queen's Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
After her elimination, Niki - who's dating fellow contestant Jermaine Sanderson of 4Sure - admitted maybe it was her time to go.
"I was so sad and (saying) 'I don't want to leave,' but you kind of feel a little weight lifted off your shoulders."

'No adoption' for Brangelina
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will not be expanding their family immediately, after reportedly being deterred by the backlash Madonna recently received.
The superstar couple were said to be planning to adopt an Indian orphan while in the country filming 'A Mighty Heart'.
However, they decided to put their plans on the backburner after Madonna was slammed by critics for the way in which she has gone about adopting David Banda from Malawi, an insider told New magazine.
'No one wants to be dragged through the heartache that Madonna has,' the source said. 'It's a real shame.'
The couple already have two adopted children, Maddox and Zahara, and welcomed a biological daughter, Shiloh, in May.
Apparently Angelina was 'saddened' by the criticism Madonna is enduring for wanting to adopt the 13-month-old boy.
'When people start questioning the legality of adoption, of whether you'll be able to keep the child, it gets into a territory that's just heartbreaking,' the source said of Brangelina's reaction to the backlash.
Last month the couple visited Priva Darshini orphanage together in the hopes of finding a child.
'Brad would prefer a boy no older than 18 months to even out the sexes but Angie has told him she can't guarantee she won't fall in love with a little girl,' a source said.
'They had originally hoped to be able to bring the child home before Christmas and had even thought of a name, India, to honour the child's homeland.'
Brad recently declared that he would like to have six children.

Britney files for divorce
Britney Spears has filed for divorce from husband Kevin Federline, according to a court petition apparently filed by the singer yesterday.
Reports claim that a divorce petition filed in Los Angeles' superior court cites "irreconcilable differences" between the couple as the reason for the split.
News of the separation comes after Spears appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman earlier this week without wearing her wedding ring.
It also comes just two months after the pop princess gave birth to the couple's second son, James Jayden, who was born on September 12th, a year after the birth of her first child, Sean Preston.
According to reports, divorce papers filed by Spears show that the wealthy singer has asked for sole custody of the two children, but is not seeking spousal support.
The date of the separation between Spears, 24, and Federline, 28, is stated as November 6th in the court documents.
The reported split between the couple follows a period of intense media speculation about their relationship, with previous reports having suggested that Spears had been increasingly left at home holding the babies while her husband apparently neglected his fathering duties and went out partying instead.
A bizarre reality show chronicling the couple's marriage, which was screened last year, did little to quell rumours that everything was not right between Spears and Federline, who was one of the singer's former dancers until the couple secretly married in 2004.
Yet only last week Mr Spears told the Associated Press that he and his wife had a "love-at-first-sight-type deal" that had yet to fade.
The rapper, who has had limited success in pursuing his own music career, already has two children by his former girlfriend, actress Shar Jackson.
It also looks like being a case of oops, I did it again, in the failed marriage stakes for Spears, whose previous union with childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander was annulled just days after their spur-of-the-moment Las Vegas wedding in 2004.
Meanwhile, it was revealed on Monday that the singer, who shot to fame in 1999 with her debut single Baby One More Time, had lost her defamation case against Us Weekly.
Spears had argued that the magazine's claims that she and her husband had made a sexually explicit tape were "false and outrageous".

Nicole and Liam to marry eventually
Nicole Appleton has revealed that she thinks of partner Liam Gallagher as her husband.
The singers, who started dating in 2000 and have a five year old son Gene, are currently basking in domestic bliss but eventually plan to make their union official.
'We will get married, of course we will. Absolutely yes,' Appleton told the Sun newspaper.
'We're pretty much married anyway and I call him my husband sometimes. We come as a unit. Wherever he goes, our son Gene and I go.'
'Having children together is a bigger commitment than getting married.'
Appleton, who became famous in the 90s in 'All Saints' with the smash hit 'Never Ever', has recently reformed with her band mates.
The blonde singer says that Gallagher encouraged her to go back to work.
'He has been totally supportive of me and the girls,' she said.
Gallagher, along with brother Noel, has built up a reputation as a wild man of rock and roll. Appleton's parents, however, are unfazed that the 'Oasis' front man will eventually be their son in law.
'My parents love Liam. They think he's so lovely,' Appleton said.

Hilton: I'm no sex symbol
Paris Hilton insists that her racy image is an act and claims she is much happier watching the TV over a plate of food behind closed doors.
The singer, whose fame skyrocketed after an amateur sex tape staring her and ex-boyfriend Rick Soloman was released on the internet, told Seventeen magazine that guys are often disappointed with how she really is.
"People shouldn't judge me and assume that's how I am," she says of her public image.
"I get in so many fights with guys who are like: 'In public, you are the sexiest sex symbol, but you're not sexual at all at home'."
"I'm like: 'Whatever, shut up. I don't wanna be'."
The star, who has been engaged to Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis and has dated another Greek billionaire Stavros Niachros, is frequently linked to eligible men.
Recently she was seen partying in LA with a male model before dancing with rocker Travis Barker.
But Hilton says that sex is not a priority for her.
"I'd rather watch a movie or Lost, or like, eat," she said.

Jackson to wed?
Michael Jackson has been laying low since he was found not guilty of child molestation charges last year.
But now the King of Pop is continuing to turn his life around since the charges and his financial woes by reportedly marrying the nanny of his children.
According to the Daily Star, Jackson, who has previously been wed to Lisa Marie Presley and Debbie Rowe, the mother of his two eldest children, is now set to marry Grace Rwaramba.
Rwaramba, who is referred to as "mum" by Jackson's children, and the Thriller singer are rumoured to have been planning a wedding since the custody battle with Rowe was settled.
Rowe was seeking full custody of their children, Prince Michael and Paris, after she claimed that Jackson was an unfit parent.
Jackson, however, will continue to have full parental rights of them. He is also a father to Prince Michael II, who he calls Blanket. He agreed to pay Rowe £400,000 per year.
The singer, who has lived in the Middle East since his acquittal in 2005, is planning to make his first appearance in England in ten years.
He is set to appear at the World Music Awards in November

Whose Buff Beach Bod?
Looks like someone has been spending their pennies down the gym rather than in a vending machine.
She clearly has very strong willpower.
And it's hard work that has paid off for Myleene Klass.
Of course, she could have naturally toned arms and thighs and her flat stomach could be down to good genes.
But that would mean that life isn't fair - what with her also being a talented musician and thoroughly all-round good egg.
Some of you might not even care how Myleene got to be this perfect - but may we direct you to the gallery above, where you can take a closer look at that foxy figure...
Whilst we pop off to the gym.

What Tyra Did Next
That Tyra Banks is one busy lady...
She's already dabbled in modelling, TV presenting, and the pop world.
And now she's moving into movie producing.
Tyra, 33, is said to have been signed up to make a kid's flick for Nickelodeon Films.
The former model is staying tight-lipped about the project, but suggested to StarPulse.com that she might actually appear in the movie: "I do want to act sometimes".
Meanwhile, with two hits on her hands with her US daytime chat show and America's Next Top Model, Tyra admits that walking away from her modelling career last year was one of the best decisions she ever made.
"I haven't missed modelling at all.
"Towards the end of my career, it was something I did, but I didn't get a lot of pleasure out of it."

Gwyneth Backs Brad
Staying mates with your ex is a real rarity.
And saying nice things about them in public is even harder.
So hats off to Gwyneth Paltrow, who still has kind words for her former fiance Brad Pitt.
Gwyn was full of praise for his acting talents after catching his latest movie, Babel.
"It's the best performance Brad's ever given," said Gwyneth, following the screening in New York.
The Oscar-winning actress is convinced Brad will bag an Oscar himself in 2007 for his role as a frantic husband trying to save his wife's life in Morocco.
Babel, which co-stars hunky Gael Garcia Bernal, is about the chaos that follows when a Moroccan boy accidentally shoots a bus of tourists.
Gwyneth said it gave her pause for thought: "It makes you want to take good care of your children," she said.
Helena Christensen, who also attended the screening, was full of praise too: "It's this year's Crash, don't you think?"
When we hear Jennifer Aniston's comments on the film, we'll pass them straight on

Kate And Pete Say Yes
They are... they aren't. They are... but they aren't.
After all these months of speculation, we were wondering if Kate Moss and Pete Doherty would ever confirm the exact status of their relationship.
And now we know.
Yes, the supermodel and Babyshambles singer have - at long last - spoken out, and yes, they are getting married.
Absolutely, definitely, 100 per cent.
Thank the Lord, we can now rest easy.
The couple confirmed the rumours at the Moet & Chandon party earlier this week, where they also reportedly serenaded each other in a karaoke room.
Karaoke? At a posh celeb party? We ask you.
Anyway, Kate said: "We are engaged," and Pete added: "We are getting married."
The news comes just in time for some hat shopping at the weekend.

But now we have proof that they are.

Don't get too excited, we are not alluding to anything rude here.
But, the question has been answered and the facts cannot be disputed.
We are starting to sound like a law firm now, but proof is proof after all.

Fox defends political advert
Michael J. Fox has hit back at claims his appearance on a political advert was an act.
The actor, who has advanced Parkinson's disease, appeared on a 30-second commercial in the US to urge people to support stem cell research.
Speaking in an advert for Claire McCaskill, a Democrat in Missouri who supports the research and is challenging Republican senator Jim Talent for his seat in the state, Fox says: "They say all politics is local, but that's not always the case. What you do in Missouri matters to millions of Americans. Americans like me."
Fox, who battled with the disease while it was still in its early stages during production of Spin City, was moving uncontrollably during the piece.
The ad had a moving effect on many and led to some unexpected outbursts regarding the seriousness of Fox's condition.
Rightwing US radio host Rush Limbaugh accused Fox of playing up for the cameras.
But Fox has defended his stance on stem cell research, which could aid in finding a cure for the neurological disease, and his current condition.
"The irony is that I was too medicated," he said.
"Because the thing aboutbeing symptomatic is that it's not comfortable. No one wants to be symptomatic; it's like being hit with a hammer."
Fox, who starred in the blockbuster franchise Back to the Future, said that without appropriate medication he is unable to function.
"At this point now, if I didn't take medication I wouldn't be able to speak," he said.
The actor was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 1991. He didn't make his illness public until 1998.

'Good loving' keeps Bullock inspired
Sandra Bullock made an interesting revelation into the secret of her professional success.
The stunning actress told the audience at the Hollywood Film Festival that bedtime with her husband is key to achieving her career goals.
When accepting an award at the festival, the actress said: 'I'd like to thank my boyfriend Jesse James, whom I happen to be married to.'
'You inspire me with the good loving you give me every day - and especially last night! Really ... you have no idea.'
The 'Crash' star also revealed a very un-Hollywood characteristic during an interview.
Bullock claimed that she loved to eat especially free food she gets at press conferences.
'When I come to meet the press to publicise my films, I get free food, so that's a day when I saved some money, which has to be a good thing!' she said.
The actress, who starred in and produced 'Miss Congeniality' about an undercover policewoman entering a beauty pageant, revealed her unusual secret for staying youthful.
'I didn't realise that putting haemorrhoid ointment on your face is acceptable in the beauty business. But apparently butt cream does help lines around the eyes,' the 41-year old said.

Richie checks in for treatment
Nicole Richie has checked into a treatment facility to find out why she is unable to put on weight, the star's publicist has confirmed.
"Nicole Richie has decided to undergo diagnostic treatment to determine why she's not been putting on any weight," said spokeswoman Nicole Perna in a statement yesterday.
Perna added that the daughter of singer Lionel Richie was "working with a team of doctors and specialists whose focus is nutrition".
But the star's publicist stressed that her client was not being treated for an eating disorder.
"It is important to Nicole that she achieves this goal in a healthy way as this is not a treatment for an eating disorder," said Perna, commenting on the Hollywood socialite's desire to gain weight.
Despite denials of an eating disorder from the Richie camp, news of the star's treatment is likely to prompt further press speculation about her health.
The 25-year-old star recently admitted to Vanity Fair magazine: "I know I'm too thin right now. I'm not happy with the way I look."
But tiny Richie has vociferously denied media reports that she is suffering from an eating disorder, posting a statement on her MySpace web page last month insisting that contrary to "false accusations" made by CNN she had not checked herself into rehab because of one.
"I don't know why or how this rumour started, but I am home, in LA, and very happy. I do not have an eating disorder, and I don't know how many times I have to say it," the star ranted.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that filming on the latest series of the Simple Life has been temporarily put on hold while Richie seeks the treatment her reps have confirmed she will undergo.
The news comes just a couple of weeks after it was revealed that Richie and her co-star in the reality series, heiress Paris Hilton, have ended a long-term feud. The pair were spotted dining together at a West Hollywood restaurant earlier this month.

Jessica Simpson logs on for love
Divorcee Jessica Simpson is logging onto the internet in an attempt to find a mate.
The sexy singer, who split from husband Nick Lachey one year ago, has reportedly created a MySpace account under a different name in an effort to meet a man.
Simpson, who had a rumoured short-lived romance with singer John Mayer, has been feeling lonely and taking solace in anonymous internet dating.
'After she split up with John she set up a MySpace page to meet new people,' a source told More magazine.
'She did it in a fake name but got really into it. She's totally addicted. Whenever she's at home, she's on her laptop.'
The 'Employee of the Month' star has been vocal about the trouble she has finding a man since she split with Lachey.
The buxom blonde, who has topped many sexiest people lists around the world, apparently uses the internet to find someone who is attracted to her personality first.
'She pretends to be this shy Texan girl.'
Simpson's latest album, 'A Public Affair' documents her life since she became a single woman again.

Jackass 'actors' retire from the stunt life?
Fans of toilet humour and idiotic stunts could have to look elsewhere other than Jackass for their onscreen entertainment.
The MTV show and films feature a group of fun loving friends indulging in often dangerous stunts, but they have announced that they are now hanging up their helmets for the foreseeable future.
Jeff Tremaine, the director of the latest film from the franchise, Jackass: Number Two, told reporters at the Australian premiere that it would be the last film.
"This is it for Jackass, as far as we're concerned," he said.
"I'm not going to say never but right now we don't have a plan. This is our last hurrah as far as we know."
The show is responsible for launching the career of Dukes of Hazard star Johnny Knoxville.
Currently down under promoting the film, Knoxville told the Daily Telegraph newspaper that he has come along way professionally since the first film.
"I look back at the first one and I was like, I was f***ing lazy,' he said.
"We were in Florida 14 days and I showed up for like three days. I was drunk, and me and Tremaine got in a yelling fight. I wasn't professional, I was loaded every day.'
Jackass: Number Two hits cinema screens in the UK on November 24th.

Sex scenes leave Kate Winslet "sick
Kate Winslet has admitted that filming sex scenes leaves her feeling "sick".
The mother-of-two has stripped off for a number of films, including the blockbuster hit Titanic, where she wore nothing but an elaborate necklace under the watchful eyes of Leonardo DiCaprio.
She is currently starring in Little Children as a disenchanted mother who has an affair with her friend's husband, played by Patrick Wilson.
Speaking on BBC Radio 1, Winslet said: "When you get up in the morning and you know you are going to have to go to work and take your clothes off it's the worst day of your life.
"You feel awful. You feel sick. And you remind yourself you must never agree to do this again," she said.
But although she may hate filming the scenes, she told the Daily Mail that the scenes were "beautifully written".
"It's not just about having sex in these chaste, forbidden moments, it's about these two people being emotionally unveiled and unleashed through this physical affair," she said.
Little Children premiered at the London Film Festival on Wednesday night.

Bloom's travelling romances
Public transport could become more popular after Hollywood heartthrob Orlando Bloom revealed he loves travelling on the London Underground because of the female travellers.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor, who recently ended a four-year on-off relationship with actress Kate Bosworth, admitted that he has fallen head over heels while sitting in a Tube carriage.
"I've always been taken with the Tube. I used to fall in love on the Tube all the time," he said.
"You sit there opposite someone, your eyes meet, nothing is said and then you both get up and go off into your own worlds."
The English born actor, who found fame in Hollywood after appearing in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, has recently been spotted with Spanish beauty Penelope Cruz, sparking romance rumours.
"They were definitely together and holding hands," an onlooker said after seeing the two partying in Hollywood.
Cruz's rep, however, has played down a romance insisting that the duo are just friends.

Controversy rages over Mariah concert cancellation
Mariah Carey's managers have denied that her Hong Kong concert was cancelled due to her diva-esque demands.
As well as her alleged demands, the show's promoters, Concerts Asia, claimed that tomorrow's planned gig had failed to attract enough attention for it to be worthwhile to go ahead, with just 4,000 normal tickets being sold "despite a substantial advertising campaign".
A statement on their website announced: "As promoters of the Mariah Carey Hong Kong concert we have decided to cancel the event effective immediately due to both the poor response of public ticket sales.and also due to specific last-minute demands which we find wholly unreasonable and not with the best interests of Hong Kong, us and also the fans."
But the singer's managers claim that the cancellation was in fact due to "unfulfilled contractual obligations".
Her manager Benny Medina told billboard.com: "Judging by the business model of this company and the way it does business bearing in mind this money was still outstanding two days before the show we felt the possibility of getting those fees was remote. So we felt we had no alternative but to cancel the show."
UMG International announced in a statement: "With legions of fans in Hong Kong and south-east Asia, Mariah has always appreciated the love and dedication they have shown over the years.
"She deeply regrets the disappointment caused to them due to unforeseen circumstances beyond her control."

Posh The Slipper Lover
Picture this: Victoria Beckham, sloping around the house in baggy trackies and comfy flat slippers.
Doesn't work, does it?
And yet the style guru, who has women the world over following her every step down the path of fashion, loves nothing more than being in her house shoes.
And they're not Jimmy Choo slippers, or Chanel slippers, or even Russell & Bromley slippers.
They're from M&S.
Honest - we've got it from the lady herself.
In her new book, That Extra Half An Inch, she writes: "People will find my choice of slippers surprising.
"High-heeled maribou pumps look fabulous, but are hardly going to work dashing around the kitchen."
Posh is, after all, a busy mum-of-three.
She goes on: "Instead, I like the little ones with patterns that my mum always gets me from Marks & Spencer."
Mrs Beckham even goes so far as to laugh off the notion that even someone as fashion-conscious as her is dolled up 24/7.
She adds: "The idea that once you get a bit of money you stagger round all day in couture and stilettos is as mad as thinking you will survive on caviar and champagne."
Thank goodness. We were struggling

Madonna Saved David
Madonna described her first meeting with adopted son David on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Wednesday.
And she revealed how she feared for his life because he was desperately ill.
The pop star told Oprah how David was suffering with pneumonia and was fighting for breath.
She was gravely concerned for his health because of the limited medical resources in Malawi, his native country.
Madonna said: "He was extremely ill. He had severe pneumonia and could hardly breathe.
"I was in a panic. I didn't want to leave him in the orphanage because I knew they didn't have medication to take care of him.
Madonna on Oprah Winfrey
"We got permission to take him to a clinic to have a bronchial dilator put on him. He was given an injection of antibiotics.
"He's not completely free of his pneumonia but he's much better than when we found him."
Madonna is also thrilled that her own children, Lourdes, nine, and Rocco, six, have welcomed David into their family and shared images of them together at home on the show.
She added: "The children just embraced him. They never once said, 'What is he doing here?' or mentioned the difference in his colour.
"That's an amazing lesson children teach us."

Ozzy excluded from Black Sabbath reunion
Ozzy Osbourne's former Black Sabbath bandmates announced yesterday that they were reforming the group for a tour without their famous lead singer!
Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward are teaming up with the vocalist who replaced Osbourne in the band in the eighties, a spokeswoman for the trio said.
The spokeswoman confirmed that the band members were planning a tour with Ronnie James Dio early next year under the name Heaven and Hell the name of the first album the singer recorded with Black Sabbath in the 1980s.
"The fans have been wanting to see this for years and years. Now was just the time," publicist Maureen O'Connor was quoted as saying by the San Francisco Chronicle.
However Osbourne, who 'left' Black Sabbath in the late 1970s due to supposed disagreements about his drug abuse, insists that he has not been left out in the cold again, stressing that the project undertaken by his former band mates has "nothing to do with Black Sabbath".
"Tony Iommi and Ronnie Dio are working on a project together which has nothing to do with Black Sabbath. There is only one Black Sabbath," a statement on Osbourne's official website reads.
"Ozzy, Tony, Geezer and Bill will be touring late next year along with a new Black Sabbath album. However, Ozzy wishes Tony and Ronnie much success in their project together," the statement adds.
Following his career with Black Sabbath, veteran rocker Osbourne enjoyed newfound fame in MTV reality show The Osbournes.

Zeta-Jones 'eyes Welsh film'
Catherine Zeta-Jones is reportedly planning to go back to her roots and star in a Welsh comedy.
The Oscar winning actress has found fame in Hollywood, starring in blockbuster films such as America's Sweethearts, The Mask of Zorro and Chicago.
But now Zeta-Jones is said to be considering taking a break from LA to spend some time in the Welsh valleys as she is reported to be in talks to appear in Bridge of Lies.
The Welsh film centres around villagers attempting to stage a local production of MacBeth after their budget has been spent on alcohol and sex.
A source close to the film said that producers are eagerly anticipating the star's response.
"We are looking for a role for Catherine," they said.
"Obviously, someone like Zeta Jones would be a big boost for us. She is reading the script as we speak."
Zeta-Jones is said to be so interested in the project that she is prepared to waver her usual multi-million pound fee in return for a cut of the film's profits.
Singer and TV presenter Charlotte Church, a fellow native of Wales, is also said to be in talks with the producers to appear in the film.
Bridge of Lies was written by Steve Spiers, the screenwriter behind the blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.

Lohan 'enjoys the quiet life'
Party girl Lindsay Lohan has revealed what makes her feel happiest and it is not nightclubbing.
The A-lister told InStyle magazine that she is appreciating quiet time more as her life becomes increasingly hectic.
"I'm happiest when I'm just sitting," she said.
"I recently went to a redwood forest with a friend and went on a hike. It was the most fun I've ever had."
The actress' notorious partying ways have made her daily gossip fodder and led to the studio boss of her latest film sending out a shock letter lambasting what he regarded as unprofessional behaviour.
But her reputation as a wild child isn't sitting well for the Mean Girls star.
"It's funny how people feel they know you," she said.
"The other day this guy I'd never met was like, 'Make sure you keep your s**t together'. "
"I was like, 'Excuse me? You know nothing about me!' I was flabbergasted."
The single actress, who recently split from Hard Rock Hotel heir Harry Morton, is also getting advice closer to home.
Marilyn Lohan, her paternal grandmother, has voiced her concerns over her granddaughter's wild ways.

"She needs a relationship to keep her on the right track."

Hammond is 'raring to go'
Jeremy Clarkson has said that his Top Gear co-presenter Richard Hammond is getting back on track and itching to be back on the show.
Speaking to the BBC, Clarkson said that Hammond is "completely fixed" following his 300mph crash during filming for the show which left him in intensive care last month.
"He's completely fixed after his minor crash... the only thing that's really breaking his heart is he has chipped one of his whitened teeth," he said.
But he added that Hammond, known affectionately by his fellow presenters as the Hamster, is still in need of rest before he will be able to do so.
"He's got to rest because although there's nothing actually wrong with him, it's better he just has some time off," Clarkson said.
"We're getting texts from him every five minutes: 'I can't believe I'm not there, I really want to come'."
A BBC spokesperson confirmed that although Hammond had signed a two-year contract for the show before the crash, a date for his return to the show will not be confirmed until Hammond is given the go-ahead.
Speaking about his crash for the first time to the Daily Mirror at the weekend, Hammond admitted that as medics rushed to his aid he "was that close to being dead".

Lindsay Logan ,what drugs can do to celebrities.
Lindsay Lohan showed up to the XBox "Gears of War" launch party yesterday looking a little more strung out than usual. Which is like describing water as being a little bit wetter today.
And with her straight hair Lindsay is almost unrecognizable. Give her a fake mustache and monocle and she'd be the CIA's top agent. Assuming, of course, that the CIA's top agents spend their time napping and trying to find the perfect pair of shoes.
More of Lindsay Lohan looking like Demi Moore after the jump, including one of her about to give K-Fed a hug

Doherty denies Rome punch-up
Pete Doherty has denied claims that he started a fight with an Italian photographer in Rome on Monday night.
The Babyshambles front man had performed a gig with his band in the Italian capital and was reported to have been involved in a scuffle outside the concert venue.
Newspaper reports described the singer as having blood pouring from his head while the photographer was taken to hospital to receive treatment. Doherty was treated by fans and band members.
But a statement issued from his spokesperson denied the claims that he had started the fight, saying: "Pete Doherty totally denies that he instigated a fight with a photographer in Rome.
"Reports that the photographer might make an official complaint will certainly interest Pete's lawyers, who can call on witnesses who clearly saw Pete being hit with a camera outside his hotel."
Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera reported that during the concert Doherty clashed with fans, causing him to brandish his microphone stand at fans in the front row.
Earlier this month Doherty's drug progress said to have slipped from being "impressive" to "optimistic-ish". He is expected to attend Thames magistrates court on December 4th for sentencing on drugs charges.

Mix-up over Britney's baby
It turns out that Britney Spears' new baby is not called Sutton Pierce after all.
Sources close to Britney and her husband Kevin Federline had led the press to believe that the six-week old tot had been given the name by his parents, whose birth has never officially been announced by the couple.
But in further mystery surrounding the arrival of Britney's second son, it has been revealed that the baby's name is actually Jayden James.
The child's real identity was revealed on a birth certificate signed by his father, which was filed with Los Angeles officials earlier this week.
The certificate confirms that Jayden James was born at LA's Cedars Sinai hospital at 01:11 local time on September 12th just two days before Britney's eldest son, Sean Preston, celebrated his first birthday.
Official confirmation of the birth finally puts paid to a series of rumours that had surrounded the secretive arrival of Britney's new baby.
Before his birth, gossip magazines had been convinced that the star was expecting a girl after reportedly spying her stocking up on pink baby clothes.
Meanwhile, one rumour which Britney fans will be hoping is not true is that her husband Kevin is planning to make his Hollywood debut in a new hip-hop movie.
According to website, Popsugar.com the wannabe star will appear in the musical Caught on Tape, which is being directed by rapper Sticky Fingaz.

Madonna 'blames media' for adoption row
Madonna has suggested that the media are to blame for the controversy that has erupted surrounding her planned adoption of a Malawian baby, according to audience members privy to her interview yesterday with chat show host Oprah Winfrey.
The queen of pop told the queen of daytime television that she believed media pressure had led the father of 13-month old David Banda to change his story about his feelings towards the adoption of his son, audience members said following the taping of the show.
In the interview, which will be screened in the US today, Madonna spoke to Oprah via a satellite link from her home in London.
Speaking after the filming of the interview, audience member Brook Carter, 24, told People magazine that Madonna had expressed her "frustration" with the media over the controversial adoption.
"She's frustrated with the media because she believes it's the pressure of the media that's prompting the father to change his story," said Carter.
Carter added that Madonna had recalled a meeting with Yohane Banda in which the father of her intended new son had apparently told the star he was "thankful" to her for giving baby David a future.
Fellow audience member Sheryl Lewis also told ABC News that Madonna had expressed surprise at the attention and controversy her planned adoption of the child had attracted.
Comments reportedly made by the singer come after Mr Banda cast doubt on Madonna's plans to bring up his son David earlier this week when he told the AP news agency that he did not realise Madonna wanted to fully adopt the baby.
Mr Banda, who lives in the Malawian village of Lipunga, had previously defended the star against the claims of human rights groups in Malawi that Madonna by-passed the country's usual adoption laws in order to gain the right to bring up the child, claims which have subsequently led to the filing of a legal challenge against the planned adoption.
Baby David was recently flown to Britain to live with Madonna after a Malawian judge granted her and husband Guy Ritchie temporary custody of the child.
Meanwhile, reports claim that the star is planning to ask actor Rupert Everett to be the baby's godfather.
The Sun newspaper said earlier this week that Madonna had decided to ask her famous friend to do the duty as a result of his experience working in Africa with Aids victims.

Nicole 'threatened to end marriage'
Nicole Kidman was facing the possibility of having another failed marriage until husband Keith Urban admitted himself into rehabilitation.
The actress, who was married to Tom Cruise for ten years, gave her new husband an ultimatum of going to rehab or losing her.
'She gave him a choice. He could enter a programme or she'd leave him,' a friend said.
'He chose the former. Keith can't stand the thought of life without Nicole.'
The insider added that his relationship with Nicole is 'his motivation to kick this thing for good'.
Urban is currently in a Nashville rehab clinic for alcohol dependency.
According to Life & Style magazine, friends alerted Kidman that the country music star was drinking again while she was filming in Europe.
The star, who is described as 'an emotional wreck', flew back to the US immediately and confronted Urban.
He has previously attended rehab for alcohol and cocaine addiction.
Meanwhile, Kidman's sister Antonia has flown to the US to lend her support.
The close siblings spent Urban's 39th birthday together in Nashville.

TV crew fired after trespassing on Pitt's property
Taking the quest for an entertainment story to the extremes has proved costly for two journalists after they trespassed on Brad Pitt's Hollywood property.
A cameraman and producer working for the E! Network have been fired for reportedly unchaining a gate to the property and proceeding to walk around the grounds.
They fled the scene when workman at the home questioned their intentions and the television network has now confirmed that the two employees are no longer with the company, saying it is not part of their conduct to intrude on private property.
"E! Networks is investigating allegations that a producer and cameraman who were filming locations for a programme about Brad Pitt went onto property last week that is reportedly owned by Mr Pitt," a statement said.
"E! Networks did not instruct or authorise anyone working on its programme to improperly intrude onto private property.
"The network in no way condones or encourages such behavior and would like to offer its most sincere apologies to Mr. Pitt and his family."
Pitt, his partner Angelina Jolie and their three children are currently in India. The couple is working together on the film A Mighty Heart.
They have had run-ins with the press while abroad, including one of their security men making a death threat to a photographer.

Where Brad Won't Swim...
Never mind Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and their domestic, familial bliss...
For Team Aniston subscribers - there's some good news in that Jen is set to make her own domestic bliss.
And let's face it, with a pad like this, you'd be hard pushed not to be chuffed.
This is Jen's new abode in Beverly Hills - just a tiny pebble's throw from her buddy Courteney Cox's LA gaff.
And whilst we're not sure what the layout inside is (presumably it has got some walls and floors and stuff), it's that pool that works for us.
Let's hope that Jen has a smooth move in, and gets that spare room ready for us asap.
See Jen's house in full and more sickeningly gorgeous maisons of the rich and famous in the gallery above.

Crowe to be an action man at home
He may have once been the gladiator but Russell Crowe is now just as content in his role as a father.
The Oscar winning star has revealed that he is not chasing after roles in major Hollywood movies like he once did, preferring to spend more time with his family.
Crowe and his wife Danielle Spencer welcomed a second son, Tennyson, earlier this year. They also have a two-year old son Charles.
The actor, who made a name for himself in blockbusters, has admitted that he now prefers to do smaller films.
"The thing is with the jobs I am choosing these days is that they don't come with 26 or 38-week shooting schedules like some of the films I've done in the last few years," he said in comments reported by Bang Media.
"Every decision that I make now depends on what's right for my wife Danielle and my two young boys."
Crowe also added that he is getting too old to do stunt-orientated films.
The 42-year old starred in physically demanding roles in films such as Master and Commander, Gladiator and Cinderella Man.
"Now that I'm getting a little bit older the bones are creaking and the Achilles tendons don't work the way they should," he said.
"I don't approach everything with the same intensity that I used to."

Kylie to go African on Showgirl tour
It seems that Madonna is not the only singer who is currently having a love affair with Africa as Kylie Minogue is to add an African flair to the sparkles and feathers for her upcoming revamped Showgirl tour.
The pop star, who postponed shows after she was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, is said to be giving her show an African theme.
The I Believe In You singer is relaunching the tour in her native Australia from November 11th.
"Kylie wanted to update the outfits and routines and decided an African theme would be really different," a source told the People newspaper.
The singer, who spent her time recovering in Australia and Paris with boyfriend Olivier Martinez, made her return to performing when she joined sister Dannii on stage at Astoria nightclub's G.A.Y. night.
Her Showgirl tour looks set to be one of the most popular and anticipated of the year; in London the first two UK dates sold out in six minutes.
"The demand for Kylie is absolutely phenomenal and these are the fastest selling shows I have ever experienced. It will be fantastic to see [her] back on stage again," said her live agent, Dave Chumbley.
Kylie will be releasing her next studio album next year.

Richie's ex traumas
Breaking up is never easy, but for Nicole Richie, seeing her ex-boyfriend at an LA event with his new girlfriend is almost a Hollywood nightmare.
The socialite, who ended her three-month long relationship with childhood friend Brody Jenner only weeks ago, was brought to tears when he arrived at a party she was at with his new love.
Jenner, who starred on the reality TV show Princes of Malibu, arrived at an LA fashion week event with Lauren 'LC' Conrad, who made a name for herself on the MTV show Laguna Beach.
Richie, who recently rekindled her friendship with Paris Hilton, was visible upset by the sighting so soon after their break-up.
"Nic is furious," a source told Life and Style magazine.
"She said: 'LC just keeps saying hi to me over and over again. I can't stand it! It's like she's rubbing it in my face. Just leave me alone!'"
However the super skinny star soon found solace with ex-fiance DJ AM, as she reportedly spent time in his DJ booth.
"Nic went up to his booth and got a big hug," the source said.
"They whispered to each other, and DJ AM was able to turn her night around."

Paris to model in India
Paris Hilton is adding another modelling job to her resume.
The celebrity heiress has participated in fashion shows in the past for big names such as Alexander McQueen and Guess, but now she is to turn her sights to eastwards as she has been signed to model clothes for designer Anand Jon in India.
The deal is said to be surprising to industry insiders as she has received a negative reception in India this year; her debut single Stars Are Blind was banned in the country as it was deemed as being too sexy for audiences.
However, according to Jon, Hilton has been undeterred by that reception and has been waxing lyrical about the specific type of Indian beauty.
"For her, India is the land of exotica and beauty," he told the Times of India.
"In fact, her response was: 'I finally get to visit the exotic'. She loves Indian culture and the Indian influence on clothes."
The publicity-loving star, who is as famous in the western world for being the star of the reality TV show The Simple Life as for her chaotic love life, is relatively unknown in India.
